     Joyce E. Parker, 79, of Bartonville, passed away at 7:13 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Care in East Peoria.
     Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Pastor James R. Vincent officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
     Joyce was born on January 14, 1937 in Peoria, a daughter of Noble and Theresa (Herchenroder) Broadstone. She married James H. Parker on June 10, 1956 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2002 in Bartonville. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judie Johnson.
     She is survived by her sons, Timothy Parker of Alton, Michael (Pam) Parker of Evansville, WI and Mark Parker; ten grandchildren; and three great grandsons.
     Joyce was last employed as a housekeeper with Molly Maid and was formerly a beautician. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Peoria and was active in their Quilting Club.
     Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce’s name to Second Baptist Church in Peoria.

My deepest condolence

My condolences, as feelings of pain and bitterness become unbearable. It is my desire to convey a comforting thought based on the Holy Scriptures

John 5:28 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

This passage speaks of the resurrection of our loved ones. It is not God's plan to see us suffer and die, so He extends the following invitation to us: "Come near to God and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8)
